“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you’ And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25:37-40

We work together with our friends at St. Augustine's to provide Sunday morning breakfasts. Our mission is to build on the Christian mission of St. David’s, doing God’s work in the world, reaching out to our neighbors—those nearby, as well as those in distant lands. We do this by focusing our extensive human and financial resources. We hope and expect that everyone in our parish will commit to some outreach ministry.

The Mitten Tree collects warm woolies to be given to the needy.Holiday Outreach
Go to the Holiday Outreach page for complete information about our Holiday Outreach programs.

Over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the generosity of our parishioners provide support through household items, food, clothing and gift cards which are distributed to Home of the SparrowSt. Barnabas Mission for Women and ChildrenSt. Peter’s Clinic and St. Augustine of Hippo in Norristown. At our Christmas Pageant new toys are gathered and offered as Manger Gifts. These go to needy children in the area. Our Mitten Tree, set up at Christmastime, is hung with hats, mittens and scarves given by parishioners to provide these warm woolies for needy families.

Episcopal Community Services
Many of our parishioners participate in a multitude of ways to support our neighbors in the region who are in need. Episcopal Community Services (ECS) is the social service arm of the Diocese of Pennsylvania. Through ECS we support a variety of social service activities.

United Thank Offering (UTO)
The United Thank Offering brings together Episcopalians in offering daily thanks and prayers as part of our life in Christ, taking the opportunity to put an offering in our United Thank Offering boxes, bringing our offering boxes, envelopes, or checks to our local Episcopal churches on Ingathering Days
and joining our offerings with others to support mission projects at home and around the world.

St. David's has a UTO ingathering day each year on a Sunday in May. UTO boxes are available in the tract racks. Pick one up and use it to offer thanks to God for the many blessings that happen daily in your life.
