Family Ministries - Overview

Family Ministries at St. David'sFamily Ministries Overview
Family Ministries provides Christian education, ministry, outreach and community opportunities for the children and youth of St. David’s Church as the path to Christian formation.

Christian formation for our children and youth is one of the most important ways we live into our mission as a church. From infants in the nursery to children and youth in Sunday morning education to weekly youth ministry activities to outreach and service work in the broader community and the world, St. David’s seeks to provide a variety of appropriate ways for our children and youth and their families to grow in the faith and make a difference in the world.

Sunday, February 28
All-Parish Brunch and Cake Walk
10:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall
“….They broke bread … and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.” Acts 2:46-47

The All-Parish Brunch is on the way.  On Sunday, February 28, the last Sunday of February, the opportunity to share God’s love, grace and fellowship with all members of St. David’s will unfold after the 9:15 a.m. service. There will be standard fare, and the opportunity for waffles and chili for those who dare. This will be a wonderful opportunity to visit with one another during the season of Lent.  To know God day by day through our fellowship and “breaking of the bread.”

We will also have a "Fair-style" cake walk to help support the Guatemala summer work trip team.

Family Ministries and all commissions hope to see you at this intergenerational event. Children in grades 2, 3, and 4 who are participating in the WoRM pilot program (see article on this page) will join the All Parish Brunch at the conclusion of their Sunday School classes at 11:10 a.m.

The Balloon ministry is new at St. David'sThe Balloon Ministry at St. David's
Have you ever looked at a child’s eyes when they walk into a room full of balloons?  They just know something special is happening then and there!!  Suddenly, they pay attention to what is happening in the room. The Balloon Ministry’s intention is to capture this joy and excitement and share it with all who worship at St. David’s Church.

The Family Ministries Balloon Ministry is intended to brighten the hearts of our children, youth and adults.  It’s a form of passive education that highlights the liturgical calendar
