St. DYG Youth Groups

Our Youth Ministry Program (St.DYG) is designed around the progression of the Christian Life. 

We seek to build meaningful relationships within our group as well as with volunteer adult leaders (GUIDES). Weekly meetings are held and there are weekly opportunities for bible study and fellowship.

Our purpose is to live a REAL LIFE by knowing God through our ROC Jesus Christ & to REVEAL Christ to others. We have three levels of youth groups at St. David's:

REVEAL—Grades 5 & 6
"To Reveal Christ to Youth" John 3:16


ROC—Grades 7 & 8
"Revolution of Christians" Pslam 18:2


REAL LIFE—Grades 9 – 12
"Relationships, Equipping, Attitudes & Leadership"  1Timothy 4:12

Outreach

We are focused on "knowing Christ and
making Christ known to others." St. David's
Youth Group is committed to expanding our
ministry out into our community. 

Hip Hop Hippo Feeding Ministry
On the first Sunday of every month REAL LIFE (Grades 9-12) goes into the heart of Norristown
and works with a feeding ministry at St. Augustine
of Hippo Episcopal Church.  We meet in the church office at 6:30 a.m. and usually return to the church around 10:30 a.m.  We cook, set the dining area, serve breakfast and clean the facility. This is a
blessing to the hungry of Norristown.

 

Mission Trips
Our focus on mission work is a foundational part
of St. DYG. We "REVEAL Christ to others" both domestically and internationally. On our trips we
join with several good will organizations including Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit ecumenical
Christian housing ministry. We seek to share
the heart of God with all peoples of the world.
Our missions trips are working and stretching opportunities to learn about God's love & grace.

Journey of Faith Weekend Retreat Gr. 9-12

March 23-25 | Provinicial Youth Event
Peterkin Camp & Conference Center Romney, WV 

The Youth Ministry Network of Providence is hosting this retreat and St. David's is invited. We will explore how to "Live Purposefully, Love Recklessly, and Act Fearlessly." The cost is $150 for the weekend and scholarships are available. Contact Cheryl Wardle.
