This is an area to describe the details of the event. Or you could have any information in here really, it just doesn't matter all that much. But the real test of an area like this is how much text it can actually hold. I mean, surely there must be limits. Right? Well if there are we sould probably display a Link Style.

Jim Dolan and his family joined St. David’s in 2001, shortly after moving back to the Philadelphia area.  Raised a Roman Catholic, Jim was received into the Episcopal Church in 2008.  He has been involved in a variety of activities at St. David’s, including the Newcomers’ Committee, the Property Commission, the Christmas Pageant, and the Fair, where you can find him serving at McDavid’s during the lunch rush.  He has served as the Vice Chair and Chair of the Men’s Fellowship, as Head Usher, and is currently an usher and lector.  St. David’s is to blame for his love for fly fishing, as it was at the Men’s Fly Fishing Trip to the Poconos that he first caught a trout on a fly.  Since that time, he has been part of the organizing effort for what has become an annual trip and a highlight of his year.

Jim and his wife, Amy, are graduates of Duke University and the parents of three children.  Jim is an attorney, and currently serves as Vice President – Litigation Legal Counsel for Enstar Group Limited, an insurance and reinsurance business, where he oversees U.S. litigation involving Enstar Group companies.  Jim previously served as the general counsel to Preferred Mutual Insurance Company after a 20-year career in the Commercial Litigation Department at Cozen O’Connor, where he represented clients in commercial and real estate disputes and land development matters.  Jim has provided legal advice and assistance to St. David’s on a variety of issues since 2001.

Edie Lewis, her husband, John, and their daughters have been members of St. David’s for fifteen years.  Her two daughters were very involved in the children and youth choirs, and participated in Sunday school and youth group. Edie  supported children’s choir as the ‘choir mom’ and was actively involved in many youth choir productions as well as the Christmas pageant. During Edie’s time at St David’s, she  worked on many events and served on several committees in different capacities including; Coffee Hour Committee, Family Ministries, Newcomer’s Dinner, Project Ensonga, and the St. David’s Fair. For the past two years, Edie served on the Discipleship Commission, including the Social Justice Committee and the planning of Adult Education opportunities.

Additionally, Edie has traveled to Guatemala three times with the youth group. She feels fortunate to have mentored the St. David’s youth and supported the partnership with our Guatemalan friends first hand.

Edie has been teaching in Lower Merion School District for twenty-four years. She began my career there as a first-grade teacher and is currently a Reading Specialist working with kindergarten, first and second grade students. Edie is excited to discover new ways to use my gifts while serving on the Vestry at St. David’s Church.

Sarah Schoettle returned to St. David’s 3 years ago after 20 years away. She was baptized here, participated in the youth choir and attended Sunday School. Her family has been members of the church for many generations. Her parents were married in the church and many family members are buried in the graveyard. Both of her children were baptized here and will soon start attending Sunday school. Whether ushering or lay assisting, Sarah and her family are active members of the 11:15 church service.  You’ll often find her children helping in ushering.

Sarah attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges earning degrees in Sociology and Education. She went on to teach and coach middle school students both in the classroom and on the soccer field. She has also earned two Master’s degrees in Education. Sarah is currently working with the Family Ministries Commission.

Sarah and her family have grown to love the church. She wants to demonstrate to the others the benefits of the Christian life and to help others know God in a variety of ways. By being a member of the Vestry, Sarah is confident that she can help St. David’s continue on their mission in a fun, loving and effective way.

Michael Tredinnick and his wife, Meg have been a members of St. David’s since 1995. They have always been thankful for having the St. David’s community as a wonderful church home and the place where their adult sons, Sean and Harry were baptized, confirmed, and raised in faith. Over the years, Michael and Meg have participated in the Fair, the boys as Acolytes, and Meg as a member of the Altar Guild.

Michael has been an usher at St. David’s for many years, serving as a Captain and as User Chairman and representative to the Worship Commission. Ushering is a great ministry for fellowship and hospitality; and participation in St. David’s worship services and with the Worship Commission has allowed Michael to have great respect and gratitude for the love, commitment and service that our Clergy, Vestry, and Commissions bring to St. David’s worship and the community. Michael is a ‘life-long’ Episcopalian, baptized in Murfreesboro, TN and confirmed at St. Francis in Dunellen, NJ, where he was an acolyte throughout High School.

Professionally, Michael is a Product Owner in TD Bank’s Online Banking group in Mt. Laurel, NJ; defining and delivering digital products and services for the bank’s personal and small business customers. Prior to TD, he worked in the online services groups with both Bank of American/Merrill Lynch and Vanguard. Michael has a BA from Rutgers University & an MBA from University of Phoenix.
