Marilyn Callaghan
Parish Administrator


Marilyn manages the financial, property, and personnel resources of the church and graveyard. Along with the Rector, she is responsible for preparation of the annual budget and monitors expenditures to assure compliance with the approved budget. Marilyn is a member of the Finance and Property and Stewardship Commissions and provides for the custody and safekeeping of church records.

Sarah Champlin Youth Minister



Sarah is  involved in developing, directing and coordinating a comprehensive Youth Ministry (Grades 5-12): helping to  develop and lead the Middle School Youth Group, the High School Youth Group, coordinate the Confirmation Program, and support other big events and mission trips. In addition to working closely with the youth and staff, Sarah provides leadership and supervision to volunteers involved in these ministries. Responsibilities also include the development of spiritual programs and establishing comfortable and supportive faith relationships within our community

Brooke Choate    Reading Specialist, St. David's Episcopal Day School



Brooke is a certified Reading Specialist with several years of elementary classroom teaching experience and administration experience in the role of Lower School Division Director. She holds a Masters Degree in Reading from West Chester University and a B.A. in English with an Early Childhood minor from James Madison University. 

Following her teaching career and administrative role, Brooke started “Little Ones for Literacy” which is comprised of summer literacy camp, kindergarten enrichment, private tutoring, and literacy evaluations. Each of these programs stems from Brooke’s strong belief that ‘one size does not fit all’ in education. Interactive learning environments with small teacher-to- student ratios and individualized instruction are all valued and essential components of Brooke’s teaching philosophy.  Her programs have been recognized for their excellence in both ‘Main Line Parent’ and ‘Philly Family’ magazine in 2014, 2015, and 2016. “Little Ones for Literacy” was nominated for and won the annual ‘Best for Families’ LOVE award for summer camp, kindergarten enrichment and tutoring. Brooke resides in Berwyn with her husband and two daughters.

Diane Dowlin
Administrative Assistant for the Associate Clergy


Diane manages the Church calendar by scheduling all meetings and events and coordinates event set up requests with the Property Department. She also supports Christmas and Lent Holiday Outreach and the Outreach Grant Program. Diane assists the Communication department with branding of Program Brochures and event posters.

Elaine supports the music department of St. David’s Church and maintains the Music Library.

Matt Grove
Graveyard and Building Supervisor


Matt is responsible for the upkeep of the Graveyard database, meets with families who are interested in purchasing plots and coordinates with funeral directors and families who are arranging burials. He performs the Sexton duties associated with funerals. Matt also assists with snow removal and general maintenance of the grounds and buildings.

Kay Joseph
Parish Secretary


Kay answers and directs all incoming phone calls and visitors. She maintains the Parish Registry for Baptism, Confirmation, Wedding and Funeral records. She is the staff liaison for the Newcomers Commission, Monday Morning Flowers, the Sermon and Birthday Card Ministry. Kay proofreads all publications and prepares the Calendar and Readings section for the Sunday bulletin.

Maria Leal
Director of Children's Education


Maria oversees the Sunday School Program for children in grades 2-5, Good Shepherds Park, Pre K- grade 1, The Edge and grades 4-5, as well as the Children’s Sermon and Wednesday evening children’s education offerings.  Maria is involved in VBS, the Shrove Tuesday Supper, the Easter Egg Hunt and a variety of developmentally-appropriate ways for our children, youth and their families to grow in their faith.

Lauren Machowski

Director of Communications


Lauren is responsible for the development and coordination of all published electronic and visual communications for the Church, including: DOVE, Advent and Lent publications, Invitation to Ministry book, Annual Report, Narthex posters, and website banners. She maintains the St. David's website, parish and community publicity, social media, and the implementation of new technology, as it relates to parish communication.

Kathy Marcantonio
Assistant to the Rector, Administrative Assistant for Worship


Kathy is the staff liaison for the Vestry and related commissions. She supports the general ministry of the church, produces all worship bulletins, schedules Lay Assistants for participation in services, maintains the Intercessor Prayer List and interacts with families planning memorial services. Kathy is responsible for the Rector’s calendar, appointments and preparation of classroom material.

Joe Matsil    Lead Sexton


 Joe prepares the Church and Chapel for worship. He assists the Altar Guild, Flower Guild, and Coffee Hour volunteers, as well as, generally assisting parishioners, clergy, and staff with setups and events.

Osvaldo Montes


 Osvaldo helps to maintain St. David’s numerous outdoor areas including the Fairgrounds, the Graveyard and other church-owned properties. “King” is responsible for the routine maintenance of equipment, for grass cutting and leaf pick-up. He assists with snow and ice removal and offers support to events held in the fairgrounds.



Leslie Robertshaw
Finance Manager


 Leslie is responsible for the accounting and bookkeeping functions of the church. She manages payroll and bank reconciliation. Leslie supports the annual Stewardship campaign in cooperation with the Finance and Stewardship Commission. She also organizes financial records for the annual audit, prepares parishioner Giving statements and issues monthly budget reports to the Finance Commission and budget reports to the Department Chairs.

Dr. Clair Rozier
Director of Music


Clair is responsible for directing the St. David’s Adult Choir to help lead worship at our weekly Sunday services from September through June. The choir also leads two Taizé prayer services, one in the fall and one in the spring. Clair also directs the Adult Chamber Choir who sings a cappella motets monthly. Clair also directs the St. David’s Children’s Choir, which presents an annual musical in June.

Dr. Elaine Sonnenberg
Associate Director of Music


 Elaine is responsible for directing the Primary choir (K thru grade 1). These young choristers focus on music that communicates a direct message of God's presence and learn anthems to be sung in worship approximately six times a year. Elaine also directs the Handbell choirs to grow in skill and proficiency and to prepare music for presentation in worship monthly. Elaine presents and Annual Talent Show and directs a Pageant Band.

Marissa Kiepert Truong              Head of School, St. David's Episcopal Day School 


Dr. Marissa Kiepert Truong is Head of School at St. David’s Episcopal Day School. She has specific expertise in early childhood education, holds a credential in parenting education, earned a master’s degree from Villanova University, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Temple University. Dr. Kiepert Truong is passionate about engaging learners through hands-on, process-oriented activities, honoring each child as an individual, and providing an inclusive environment that fosters a child’s self-confidence and character.

Previously, Dr. Kiepert Truong’s 17 year career in the field of education has spanned evaluating programs for charter schools, analyzing testing data for the National Board of Medical Examiners, teaching young children, and serving as a director of an early learning center. She is the founder of A First Foundation, an educational enrichment organization which offers parenting programs, private services, and preschool camps on the Main Line. Dr. Kiepert Truong’s research and writings have appeared in peer-reviewed journals, books, and various online media outlets. She has been a speaker at local and national conferences in the field of education and has held positions as an adjunct professor at Rosemont College, St Joseph’s, and Temple University.

Dr. Kiepert Truong resides in Wayne with her husband and two children.

Buff Barnes, Spiritual Direction


 Buff is the Director of the St. David’s Center for Spiritual Direction. Trained spiritual directors offer one-on-one and group Spiritual Direction. The Spiritual Life Ministry also offers contemplative centering prayer, Yoga with Spirit, Exercise in Faith and the St. David’s Labyrinth.

Judy Krischker, Wedding Coordinator


Judy is the staff contact for weddings. She assists the couple in planning the ceremony and answers questions about the preparation process.

Margie Winters
Director of the Gift Shop


Margie oversees purchasing, inventory management, volunteer staff, accounting and marketing.  She provides St. David’s parishioners and the community with information about our role of helping to fund the church’s international outreach programs in Guatemala, Haiti & Uganda.
